Kick-Ass T-Shirt Tote

The ban on plastic bags went into effect Jan 1st in our Los Angeles neighborhood. Also, my husband cleaned out his closet.

These two events magically coincided to create a stack of very kick-ass t-shirt totes.

I can’t believe he wanted to give away this awesome “Buch Lee” t-shirt in the first place… but his loss is my bag.

This is so easy to make. If you’re crafting with kids you get to talk about the environment and how to perfect your roundhouse kick. Save the Earth, save yourself.

I love this! And, I can actually see knowing how to do it! And, why the heck would he discard that awesome shirt?!

I couldn’t believe it when I saw it in the “throw” pile. Also found an old Carhartt tee I’m going to rescue as well…

I CAN DO THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, all caps because I’m that excited about this. I have a sewing machine for the first time ever and this is something I can do and not totally hack. Now if only I can get my husband to let me cut into his concert shirts! Thank you :)
